Privacy Policy for Slowed Reverb

Effective date: September 15, 2026

Slowed Reverb has one purpose: after you invoke it from the extension popup, it applies a local slowed-and-reverb effect to standard HTML5 audio and video in the active browser tab.

Information handled

When you invoke the extension, it temporarily accesses the active tab and operates on supported HTML5 audio and video elements already present there. Processing happens locally in your browser. Slowed Reverb does not collect personal information, browsing history, website content or media.

Use of information

The extension uses the active-tab access only to apply, control or remove the local audio effect requested by you. It does not use any information for analytics, telemetry, advertising, profiling, eligibility, creditworthiness, monetisation or unrelated purposes.

Storage, transmission and sharing

Slowed Reverb does not require an account and has no backend or server-side processing. It does not send website content, media, URLs, browsing history or usage events to a developer server or third party. It does not sell or share user data. No personal information is collected.

The extension contains no remote code and does not download or execute remote program logic.

Permissions

activeTab provides temporary access to the current tab only after you invoke the extension. scripting is used only to inject and execute the packaged local slowed/reverb effect logic in that tab. The extension requests no persistent host permission.

Compatibility

The supported scope is standard HTML5 audio and video. DRM or other protected media, Chrome internal pages, pages without audio or video, and site-specific or custom players may not be supported.

Limited Use

Use of information received through Chrome APIs complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Information is used only to provide the extension’s prominently disclosed, user-facing single purpose.

Changes and contact

If this extension’s data practices change, this policy and the Chrome Web Store privacy disclosures will be updated before the changed version is published. Questions can be sent to extensions_chrome@proton.me.
